Sorry I’ve been absent from these lately. I’ve been having a hard time keeping my camera with me. I’ll be taking the month of October off for my 31 days series. But there will be lots of photos all month so no disappointments there!
This is my super silly husband. He makes me laugh constantly, even when I’m mad. 
Wow is all I can say. Today is my oldest childs 7th birthday. I know every mother goes through this growing up grieving stage, but at different times. Until now, I’ve always loved watching them grow up, it excited me that they’re getting so big!
Not the past few months however. My big boy aka: Big Dog as we call him, is tall enough to ride most roller coaster, water slides and reach almost anything without climbing. He’s just physically big and it’s making me cry. He’s my 1st baby, my snugglebug. Luckily he still LOVES to snuggle with me. (I may sneak in a sleepover in his room soon!) Here’s some pictures looking back over each year. It’s so amazing to me how they change!

And now this past weekend at his Star Wars Birthday party!!!
1. He’s so funny…he tells funny stories and says funny things.
2. He’s got this happy personality that makes everyone around him happy
3. He’s snuggable and loves affection. (LOVE this!)
4. The different ways he sees things and can show me
5. How he always puts comfort before fashion in clothes & goes with it! (that’s my boy)
6. His adventure seeking self…he loves exploring and it takes him so many places.
7. His love of all things Star Wars!
I’m so excited for the journeys ahead with my boy but this stage will endure lots of tears for me. I know God’s on this journey with me so at least I’ll be in good company.
I love this one. Yes it’s from the fourth of July but I love that my hubby is in the background. It really captures the day for me and the reason for the Holiday!
As I’ve been sitting in this craziness lately, I’ve been thinking about my blog a lot. I loved celebrating with my readers, and who doesn’t love a giveaway. If you’re new here, I’m a creative type. I love to constantly make new things, try new things, always keeping busy. So as a stay at home mom, I of course would love to be able to turn my craftiness into an income for my family. This is not always what everyone should do. Especially impulsive types like me. I have seen so many things lately about people stealing others ideas or designs. I’m not even going to go there, but it got me to thinking. I’m just out there to create. Whether it’s a craft, a way of spending my time, or how I raise my family. It takes my creative energy that God’s given me to do all of that. Now whether or not that provides a monetary income or not is not mine to say. My income might be what I’m putting into my family and what I receive in return. Even if I won’t see the return for many years. It will be well worth it.
So, I give up. I, now stop trying to make my blog about money. It’s about His love and what I’m doing with my heart and my time while I’m here on this earth. If he chooses to use that to provide an income for my family then that’s just the icing.
Because truly and honestly, I enjoy writing my heart out to you. I enjoy writing what God’s doing to me and for me. I know that He uses me, my trials and blessings to share with others. That’s my spiritual gift. Now, I hope I can use it to His glory. That is what I’m making it about now. My blog is about my heart and what is in it. That includes God my father, my loving husband, silly kids, and all of the crazy in my life. My heart also belongs to crafting and arts. So you will be seeing that always on here.
Now not to confuse anyone, I did just start a Blog Design Business. I absolutely love being able to design something for someone else that I hope they love. I love being able to do it for a great price as well. I chose to do this because I love it and I know that God will chose to show me the way to my future here as The Funky Faith Girl.

Now these are some pictures that I am COMPLETELY in love with! Jennifer aka Mckmama did these in June when she was here in Texas. I have never had such fabulous portraits taken of my family. I adjusted the one below, and the one of my family is perfect. It shows the real us. The family that loves to laugh and tickle and can’t sit still because we’re so silly. Jennifer is fabulous and I might just drive to her next year when I want more pictures.
I am so excited about this giveaway! I absolutely love photography. I took a class before I was married just for fun and to learn. I got distracted while I had 3 kids in 4 years. But now I’m back in LOVE with my beautiful camera.
A friend of mine I met online is the sweetest southern gal. She’s fun and has gorgeous curly hair that I’m secretly jealous of! (*wink)
If you don’t know who I’m talking about then you just must meet her. Online that is. Of course I’m talking about Ruthanne of Eclectic Whatnot. She’s got the cutest camera straps around. And I learned, when I got mine, that they are super long and I love it. They cover not just the neckline but they go almost all the way down to the camera. Now that’s just for beauty. I get so many comments on it and I love it so much I can’t bear to take it off long enough to wash it. I suppose I will soon though.
When I talked to Ruthanne about this giveaway, she was as excited as me! She designed a custom Funky Faith Girl camera strap for the giveaway, AND even sent me the exact same one for my birthday!!! Now that’s the true online friendship that I love. Women who join together and celebrate when they haven’t even met IRL.

Well, this one’s not great, but I was trying to practice my Bokeh. I still love the sunset in the background. It was gorgeous going down behind the buildings!

I just love this picture. It just shows how much my son loves the water. He has always loved playing in the water and especially with his SPD (sensory processing disorder) the water is a huge outlet. We spend so much time in the bath and the pool so he’s a very happy boy!
