I know some people love to have their “signature scent,” but I’m all about switching it up each season. Perfume should be fun and playful, not something you have to have a lifetime contract with. Here are our top five picks for fall perfumes.
Twirl by Kate Spade
This scent is subtle elegance, which isn’t surprising coming from our reliable friend Kate Spade. It won’t overwhelm you with its floral notes since it has some musk to balance the scent. It’s perfect for day or night and you’ll definitely be able to wear this one into winter.
Honey by Marc Jacobs
We’ve seen ads for this new scent splashed everywhere and we couldn’t wait to take a wiff. Like most Marc Jacobs fragrances it’s a bright and young scent that is perfect for every day wear. You can find traces of green pear and mandarin balanced with some feminine flower notes. Obviously, you’ll also encounter some sweetness from the honey and vanilla.
Carven Le Parfum
The bottle reflects this perfume well — it’s floral, fresh, and sophisticated. Hints of sandlewood give you the ability to wear this one even at the most elegant occasion.
Fleur de Chine by Tom Ford
Tom Ford manages to make a complex perfume that we can’t get enough off. It’s romantic and sexy with light florals and musk. If you want to have a mysterious air this fall, this is your new bottle.
Chanel No 5
This is nothing new, but it’s a classic! When in doubt, turn to Chanel and her trusty No. 5. Some say it smells like an old lady, but to them we say “poo-poo”! It smells different on everyone and as long as you give yourself only a light mist, you’ll be happy with this lasting scent. Look for hints of bergamot, lemon, rose, lily of the valley and iris.
